Electronic FOB Access

How it all works… fob

NOTE: There are two (2) Electronic FOB Access Systems on campus:
1) ONLINE ELECTRONIC FOB LOCKS - Card Services administers the ONLINE Electronic FOB Lock Access System on campus from the office to allow access to specific areas. To request permanent access to an area, an Electronic FOB Access Request Form is required, which can be found under Building Access Forms.

Exceptions can be made for temporary access to areas if it is only for a few hours. If you are requesting temporary access to an area that is listed on the Electronic FOB Access Request Form email: cardservices@easternct.edu.

The Communication Building has schedules associated with areas so you may not need to request access. Please check the Communication Building Door Schedules list, which can be found under Building Access Forms, before requesting access.

The Fine Arts Instructional Center has schedules associated with areas so you may not need to request access. Please check the Fine Arts Instructional Center Door Schedules list, which can be found under Building Access Forms, before requesting access.

The Science Building has schedules associated with areas so you may not need to request access. Please check the Science Building Door Schedules list, which can be found under Building Access Forms, before requesting access.

2) OFFLINE ELECTRONIC TRILOGY LOCKS - The Key Shop administers the OFFLINE Electronic Trilogy Lock Access System and Mechanical Keys. The Trilogy Lock - Mechanical Key Request Form must be completed to obtain trilogy lock access and/or mechanical keys. The request form can be found under Building Access Forms.

There are schedules associated with Trilogy Lock areas so you may not need to request access. Please check the Trilogy Lock Door Schedules list, which can be found under Building Access Forms, before requesting access.

Both systems can utilize the same FOB. For administrative purposes, faculty and staff receive 1 FOB, students may receive 2 FOB's, depending on where they are housed, see below.

All Residence Halls are equipped with electronic door access locks. Students who live on-campus will be given a Electronic Door Access Key FOB. In order to enter the residence hall where you live, present this FOB at the reader which is located next to the main door. If you have access to the building, the door will unlock for a brief period of time.

Please Note Students keep the same FOB for the time they are living in on-campus housing.
If your housing assignment changes the access is updated electronically.

Residents of Constitution, Laurel, Nutmeg and Occum Halls will receive a second FOB called a Trilogy FOB for your bedroom/suite access. This bedroom/suite FOB is turned into the residence hall when you move out of the building. Please see grid below.
