Card Services would like to welcome you to Eastern Connecticut State University. One of your first steps as a new student will be to obtain your Eastern Student Identification Card, better known as the Eastern EXPRESS CARD. You will use your EXPRESS CARD for many services around campus. Online Photo Submission Availability
Online Photo Submission is available only to incoming undergraduate Fall 2024 students through Thursday, August 22, 2024. These students should submit images via the SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO link in the Welcome to Eastern Online Photo Submission email you received in your Office 365 Eastern Student Email Account. After Thursday, August 22nd, please visit the Card Services Office during our office hours, with course schedule and photo identification to obtain your University ID Card.
If you are attending a SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising & Registration)session, your photo must be submitted and approved 7 days prior to your SOAR session in order to receive your EXPRESS CARD during SOAR.
If you are not attending a SOAR session or submitting after the deadline, and your photo is approved, you can pick up your EXPRESS CARD at the Card Services Office starting Tuesday, August 13, 2024 during our office hours.
Image of Yourself
STEP 1) Please submit a current color image of yourself following the guidelines below:
Photo Submission Criteria:
Photo should be cropped above head to mid-chest. Leave plenty of space above head. Please see example photo.
CloudCard software will do the final cropping of your image so please leave plenty of space above your head.
Photo should be taken during the day against a well-lit, plain white background.
Must be a color photo of yourself, no group photos please.
Have someone take the photo for you. No selfies, filters, live mode or professional photos.
Directly face the camera, with eyes open, looking forward and shoulders square.
Use good lighting. Photos that are dark, overexposed or show glare on glasses cannot be used.
Photo should be .jpeg, .png or .gif image formats.
Needs to be between 300KB and 2MB in size.
Please DO NOT:
Use pictures with social media filters or with live mode.
Use pictures that are blurry, have a glare, dark or overexposed.
Use inappropriate expressions.
Use selfies.
Use professional photos, senior portraits or graduation photos.
Wear sunglasses, hat, head covering*, fake wig or mask.
STEP 2) Please submit an image of one of the following:
Driver's License
Passport
Military ID
High School ID
Government Issued ID
Yearbook Photo with name printed below
Image will be deleted after verification.
Answer Housing Question
Once your proof of identification image is uploaded, please answer the question about whether or not you will be residing on-campus and then press Submit & Sign Out to finalize the upload process. You may have to turn your screen to access the button.
You will receive an email notifying you if your photo has been approved or denied and any further instructions.
