Want to break a sweat, get those competitive juices flowing, or just cheer on the Warriors?  Eastern has something for everyone, with 19 varsity teams, 4 club sports teams, as well as intramural sports and recreational programs. You can compete in NCAA Division III against athletes from across New England and beyond, work out in the weight room or just enjoy some lunch-hour yoga.

Eastern student athletes compete, stay fit and have fun playing together on 19 NCAA Division III varsity teams, as well as in club sports and intramurals.  Eastern has won the Little East Conference Commissioner’s Cup for the sixth year in a row for best overall on-field performance.  Go Warriors!

intramural champions

Eastern offers fall and spring intramurals, including several co-ed teams and leagues.  Enjoy athletic competition without the pressure of tryouts and having to travel off-campus to compete.

Intramurals

Compete at the club level in men’s and women’s rugby, ice hockey and women’s competitive cheerleading. Eastern club teams frequently win conference championships while enjoying the comradery of sport.

Not the competitive type but want to stay in shape? Eastern offers recreational programming ranging from Zumba to yoga, from conditioning programs to interval training.

Molly Rathbun ’12

A four-time Division III All-American softball player, Molly is the assistant softball coach at UCONN. “Being a student-athlete has shaped me into the best version of myself, and made me realize my passion for helping others to do the same. It taught me about commitment and showed me the importance of focusing on the little things.”

Tarchee Brown ’18

Tarchee was named Little East Conference Player-of-the-Year and was a first-team All American. He was only the third Eastern player to receive the LEC Conference Player-of-the-Year designation. “I couldn’t have done it without the help of my teammates. Over the past four years I’ve been blessed to play for this program and coaching staff. This isn’t an individual award at all. It’s a family award.”

“My favorite thing about Eastern is the community. There are so many fun activities happening around campus such as Pancake Thursdays, Friday After Dark and other club activities. I love enjoying these activities with the swimming team. Being an athlete is also a great motivator to do your schoolwork.”
