Lost or Stolen University ID/Eastern EXPRE$$ CARD

Your initial University ID/Eastern EXPRESS CARD is issued at no charge. A $10 fee will be assessed for any replacement of lost, stolen or damaged cards. You can pay for your replacement card with EXPRESS CASH, check or the charge can be placed on your university bill.

If your card becomes lost or stolen the first thing you should do is DEACTIVATE YOUR CARD online, (see instructions below), or call the office during business hours, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm, 860-465-5060 and we will deactivate your account. This will prevent transactions with the lost or stolen card. Once your EXPRESS CARD is replaced the EXPRESS CASH Account balance will be transferred to your new card, along with Printing Funds and Dining Dollars.

If you find your card, Activate it online (see below), or call the Card Services Office, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm, 860-465-5060. We will ask for identifying information before turning your card back on.


  1. Login HERE with your Eastern computer account username and password.
    Example: John Smith username is smithj. DO NOT PUT
  2. Once logged in, Click on the Card Services Tab in the upper left hand corner.
  3. There you have the option to Deactivate Card and Activate Card.
  4. The Deactivate Card link should automatically have your card # as an option to deactivate.

Replace Your University ID/Eastern EXPRE$$ CARD

Once your account is deactivated due to it being lost or stolen a replacement card can be given to you. Card Services has temporary cards at a $3 charge or a brand new one can be issued. There is a $10 fee for lost cards. If it was stolen a police report is needed from Public Safety and a new card can be issued to you at no charge.

If you find your lost or stolen card you can reactivate your EXPRESS CARD online by following the same steps as deactivation as described above.
