Description:
Shafer Hall is located on the south side of campus next to Burr Hall. Shafer Hall houses 91 men and women. Most units are two student units (44 students), with two one-student studios in each unit. Each of these studios have their own kitchen and share a bathroom and shower. There is a small number of 2-4 person apartments (15 students) where each student has their own bedroom and students share a bathroom, shower, living area and kitchen. There are four-person double studio units (8 students) where there are two students living in one studio apartment and sharing the bathroom and shower with another two student studio apartment, each with their own kitchen. Lastly, there are double studio units (20 students) where two students share the one studio space. Each student has a twin, extra long bed, desk, chair, and a closet/dresser unit for each resident. Shafer is also equipped with a lounge on the ground and 2nd floors, a computer lab, a game room, a meeting room, exercise and laundry facilities, and also has a small gym. Students living in Shafer Hall are not required to purchase a meal plan but may elect to do so. Smoking is not permitted in any of the residence halls. Shafer Hall is ADA accessible and has elevators.
