For your added safety and convenience, the University Police Department provides a shuttle bus service for the University community. Designated shuttle stops are conveniently located around campus. Shuttle bus hours are posted at each residential hall, the Student Center and the Police Department lobby.
Shuttles travel a specific route for the maximum convenience of all riders. Shuttle buses are equipped with a lift for anyone needing personal assistance. Please call the Police Department at (860) 465-5310 to make arrangements for this service.
Shuttle Location APP: Shuttle users can now locate the Eastern shuttle(s) in real-time by viewing Eastern's Shuttle Bus Information and Location Site. This service can also be downloaded as an app on your favorite smartphone. We hope this technology proves convenient for everyone that uses the campus shuttles. The app and webpage have all the information you need to take advantage of this program. Look for the TransLoc app to get this service on your smartphone.
There are 3 routes:
The shuttle app is called TransLoc and is available for Android and Apple devices. Once downloaded select Eastern Ct State University.
App is dependent on cell service for signal transmission and reception.
App shows which shuttle(s) 1, 2 or 3 are in service (color coded red, blue & green).
App show when a shuttle is not in service (color coded grey).
App shows the route the shuttle is driving (RED, BLUE or GREEN)
Clicking on the shuttle shows the Shuttle Number and the shuttle speed.
Clicking on a specific shuttle stop shows the estimated time of arrival at the stop.
Since the app is cell service dependent, any cellular interruptions can affect the shuttle app accuracy. There are many factors that can affect secular service including other radio, cellular or electrical interference.
The shuttle taken off line for a scheduled break, transfer of drivers or emergency maintenance will affect the shuttle app timing.
The shuttle deviates from the assigned campus route for a special detail or an ADA transport.
Make sure you have selected the right route for the shuttle on duty or it will not show up on the app.
A complete shuttle route takes 23-27 minutes (please plan accordingly).
Runs 7 days a week, 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm
* last pickup leaves this stop at 9:45 p.m.
** last pickup leaves this stop at 9:00 p.m. M-TH and 10:00 p.m. F&S

Shuttles go out of service for various reasons including emergency service, ADA transportation or scheduled driver breaks. There are rare times when a shuttle is out of service because of an unforeseen illness or other emergency. We always try to find a replacement in these circumstances.
