On Wednesday, November 15 the World Languages and Cultures Department hosts a screening of Alice Diop's Saint Omer, an award winning French film that chronicles the lives of two Black (immigrant) women, one accused of causing her toddler's death, and the other a writer attending the trial. Critics have described the film as breathtaking and soul-shaking. Join us!

The World Languages and Cultures Department hosts a special informational event, Explora Español, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in Webb 233B. This event is specially geared toward first- and second-year students at Eastern that are heritage and native Spanish speakers. The aim of Explora Español is to highlight unique benefits of studying Spanish in college for those that have a familiarity with the language.
