Guest Speakers: Medical Interpreting

World Languages & Cultures Department and Health Sciences Department are hosting speakers from the Language Services Department at Yale New Haven Hospital for a special lecture on the field of medical interpreting. 

  •  Are you a language major or minor?
  • Are you curious about how you could use your language skills after graduation?
  • Are you interested in the healthcare field?

 

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of those questions, join us!

This special talk features experts in the field of medical interpreting from one of the state’s largest hospitals.  It is an opportunity for students to learn about the role and responsibilities of interpreters in healthcare.  Student are encouraged to ask questions about interpreting or language services in the healthcare field.    

The lecture is intended to support students pursuing the new Medical Interpreting in Spanish minor, but any and all language students are encouraged to attend!
