During the Spring 2021 semester, La Mesa de Español, continues in a virtual format every Wednesday.
Experts widely agree that the best way to learn a language is by using it. La Mesa de Español - a low-key, no pressure meet-up - is a great way for students to do just that without the worry of grades or assignment deadlines.
Students can converse with other students. They can try using newly-learned vocabulary or sentence structures. More advanced students can stretch themselves to talk about topics beyond what's on their class syllabi. And Professor Chan is there for guidance, clarifications and encouragement.
