Eastern celebrates International Mother Language Day
International Mother Language Day (IMLD), celebrated worldwide on February 21, is a UNESCO-sponsored event that highlights and celebrates language diversity and multilingualism, with a focus on promoting inclusive societies.
Join us as we celebrate on February 21 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Student Center Café and discover the rich tapestry of languages in our Eastern Community. We will have trivia, music, resources, fellowship, and more.
Complete a language Scavenger Hunt to learn more about the language communities here on campus. All completed Scavenger Hunts turned in at the Intercultural Center (Student Center 114) by 3 pm on Thursday, February 15 will be entered to win one of three $50 raffle prizes. Raffle winners will be chosen on February 21 at the IMLD event. Good luck! ¡Buena suerte! Bonne chance!
