University Hour: Alex Rodriquez

Alex Rodriguez works for Save the Sound, a regional environmental nonprofit that is committed to
protecting and restoring the Long Island Sound estuary. At Save the Sound, he leads their
environmental justice program and represents the organization as Air & Transportation
Subcommittee Chair of the Connecticut Equity and Environmental Justice Advisory Council.

In this University Hour, Alex will share his community organizing work and how he mobilizes Latine
communities for climate justice. He will also provide insights into Save the Sound’s state and federal
legislative priorities, while encouraging students to get involved in governmental decision-making
processes.
