  • Wednesday, November 11
  • 7:00 pm

Four World Languages and Cultures Department alumni will come together virtually to share their stories and thoughts on life after graduation.

Each of these students majored in Spanish while at Eastern, but they pursued different career paths - some in education and others in business or public service.  Each of their career paths is unique.

They will share their insights for success after graduation, as well as answer questions from current students. The alumni featured:

  • Hector Gonzalez '08
    • Currently a high school Spanish teacher in South Windsor, CT.  Previously worked in healthcare and for non-profits.
  • Jeremiah Elliott '10
    • Presently a warehouse audit readiness manager.  Previously worked in insurance and earned an MBA.
  • Monica Malaver '12
    • Currently an elementary school Spanish teacher in West Hartford, CT.  Earned an MS in Elementary Education from Eastern in 2018 after securing an ARC K-12 Spanish teaching certificate.
  • Jennifer Green '14
    • Works as an associate communication specialist in the New Mexico Department of Agriculture.  Earned her MBA and master's degree in ESL.

This event is open to all Eastern students.
