Fall Transfer Student Guide

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ADMISSION TO EASTERN!

Dare to be extraordinary at Eastern Connecticut State University. It's a place where a love of learning is palpable - and the drive to make a difference is even more so. You are officially on your way to becoming a Warrior! This guide will help ensure that you are fully prepared for the start of the fall 2026 semester and an excellent year. All you have to do is follow these steps:

  • Take a moment to enjoy this accomplishment of continuing your college education! We can’t wait to welcome you to campus. Check out our visit opportunities – including tours specifically for transfer students.
  • Using the credentials and link on your acceptance letter or email, log in to your Eastern portal. Throughout the admission and enrollment process, your portal will continue to be updated with event registrations and other important information.
  • Be sure to complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible to ensure a timely financial aid offer. Once your aid offer is available, we’ll mail you a copy and you may view your FAFSA offer online by following the steps here.
  • Your Office 365 e-mail account is the primary source of communication between you and Eastern. Your credentials and activation instructions are viewable in your portal; View instructions on activating your Office 365 account.

  • Your transfer credit evaluation is included in your acceptance packet and is also posted on eWeb Online Services. You may access this by logging into your Office 365 account, and clicking the icon titled “Self-Service (eWeb)”. You may then navigate to Student Services > Student Records > Transfer Course Evaluation.
  • Please contact the Advising Center as early as March for assistance with registering for courses.
They may be reached at (860) 465-4526 or advise@easternct.edu.  Visit the New Transfer page for more information.

Please note: Students may pay their tuition deposit before registering for classes. Transfer and
re-admitted students will be able to register with current Eastern students in their designated class (determined by number of completed credits).

  • Commit to being a Warrior! You are encouraged to pay your tuition deposit as soon as possible. The University reserves the right to return deposits received after enrollment capacity has been reached. View step-by-step instructions to submit your deposit(s).

Students living on campus: $450 non-refundable tuition and housing deposit.

Students living off campus: $200 non-refundable tuition deposit.
  • Visit the Incoming Students page for detailed application instructions after submitting your deposit(s). Hall assignments begin in April and will be determined in a first-come, first-served manner based on the date your housing deposit is paid and the application is submitted.

  • Orientation Online is our mandatory program to onboard new transfer students. Orientation Online will include videos, resources and checklists and you will have the opportunity to return to these modules at any point during the spring semester as an additional resource. Find out more information about Orientation Online and how to access the program.

    Orientation Online completion deadline:
    August 14, 2026

New transfer students are invited to participate in an optional, in-person orientation session to meet other students and staff. The SOAR (Student Orientation Advisement and Registration) date is
Thursday, August 12, 2026. Register for Orientation

    Optional In-Person SOAR Session:
