The University Honors Program supports Eastern’s liberal arts mission by:

  • Offering academically talented students an avenue to demonstrate competencies characteristic of liberally educated students
  • Contributing to the enrichment of Eastern’s intellectual climate
  • Providing standards, curricula and learning approaches that serve as model educational practices at the University

The Honors Program is academically challenging and prepares graduates to become leaders in their communities, exhibiting the highest standards of ethical and intellectual integrity.

The Honors Program application for fall 2022 is now available and must be submitted by February 1, 2022. Please note that you must be accepted to the University before applying to the program. You may view important information and apply to the program on the Application and Admission Process page. To be reviewed for admission, students must submit: their Honors application (including their Honors essay) and seek two recommendations from teachers that address the applicant’s academic experience and potential for success in Eastern’s rigorous University Honors Program. Teachers, you may complete the recommendation form.
