The University Honors Program supports Eastern’s liberal arts mission by:

  • Offering academically talented students an avenue to demonstrate competencies characteristic of liberally educated students
  • Contributing to the enrichment of Eastern’s intellectual climate
  • Providing standards, curricula and learning approaches that serve as model educational practices at the University

The Honors Program is academically challenging and prepares graduates to become leaders in their communities, exhibiting the highest standards of ethical and intellectual integrity.

The Honors application is now closed for incoming first-year students. The Honors Council is still accepting applications from continuing first-year Eastern students and incoming transfer students who wish to join the sophomore cohort for Fall 2022. The application must be submitted by April 15, 2022. You may apply to the program on the Application and Admission Process page, which contains important information about the Honors application and essay for continuing students near the bottom of the page.
