How to Apply

  • You may apply online using Eastern's Online Application or the Common Application.

    How do I know if I am a Freshman or Transfer student?
    Freshman students have never attended college, or have college credits from another country that will not transfer to Eastern.
    Transfer students have attended college, either in the USA or another country, and will be transferring those credits toward their degree from Eastern.

  • All international students must submit an application fee online. Eastern does not issue fee waivers; all fee waivers must come directly from the student if he or she qualifies.
  • Spring 2020: Apply online and have all documents submitted by December 15, 2019.

    Fall 2020: Apply online and have all documents submitted by July 15, 2020.

    The following documents are required for your application to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee:

    • Official secondary school transcript indicating courses completed with all grades
    • official college transcript(s) from all previously attended universities (this is only required if you have attended college or taken college courses).
    • If necessary, have transcripts evaluated for foreign educational credential evaluation by a NACES Member Organization. Click here for a list of NACES Members.
    • Proof of English Proficiency
      • Minimum accepted scores include: TOEFL (iBT 79) or IELTS score of 6 or DuoLingo English Test score of ____.
    • Copy of your passport.
    • Bank Statement and Affidavit or financial guarantee. Your bank statement must show a minimum of $38,000 USD or the equivalent in your currency. If you will have a sponsor assisting with paying for college in the USA, he or she must complete an Affidavit of Financial Support For, (click here for the Form) and send it to Taylor Hammond at hammondta@easternct.edu
