No Essay. No Application Fee. Just Opportunities. Become an Eastern CAAP Scholar.

The Connecticut Automatic Admission Program (CAAP) rewards academically talented, hardworking students with a streamlined path to admission at Eastern. If you meet the criteria, you’re in – it’s that simple.

Why apply through CAAP?

  • Save time and money: No essay or application fee required.
  • Demystify the college process: You’ll know right away that a spot is held for you at Eastern.
  • Merit scholarship guaranteed: All CAAP students receive a scholarship to attend Eastern!
  • CT residents graduating from an in-state high school who meet either of the following criteria:

    • 3.0 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
    • 2.75 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Step 1: Create a Common Application account.

    • Enter your accurate GPA (weighted or unweighted) and permanent address.
    • Opt in to allow Common Application to communicate with you.

Step 2: Within one week, Common App will email you with your offer of automatic admission.

    • Select Eastern Connecticut State University from the list of schools.
    • Complete your abbreviated application.

    Step 3: Hit Submit!

Reminder: Please be sure to ask your school counselor to send us your official high school transcript. Once we receive your transcript, we’ll be able to award your merit scholarship and send your official Welcome to Eastern admission packet!

  • CAAP guarantees your admission to the university, and not necessarily specific programs. Students who are interested in our Nursing major/BSN program or University Honors Program should complete additional application requirements. See this page for more details.
