Health & Safety Guidelines for Eastern Visitors

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

As you prepare to visit Eastern Connecticut State University, please know that we’ve made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies.

We can’t wait to have you visit our campus!

Physical Distancing

Physical Distancing

Temporary adjustments have been made to promote physical distancing. Please follow directional signage and ground markings, which have been installed throughout campus to help visitors and students better navigate common areas while practicing physical distancing. Physical barriers have been added in select places where it is difficult to maintain strict physical distancing guidelines. These may be visible in areas which have more one-on-one interactions to promote increased physical distancing.

Face Coverings Required

Face Coverings Required

Face coverings are required for all visitors, students, and staff members on campus. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times. All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin and fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face. Costume masks are also not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn. The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.

Temperature Screening

Temperature Screenings

Temperature screenings are required for all visitors for entry to campus buildings while on tour. You will be required to undergo a temperature screening with no-touch thermometers before beginning your campus tour. Your temperature screening will take place in your vehicle. Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either. Before you leave home, be sure to check the temperatures of everyone in your party—including yourself—as an extra layer of precaution.

Prior to Traveling to Eastern

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please take the proper steps as recommended by the CDC and reschedule your visit for a future date.
