Eastern Connecticut State University is an affordable, public university with a private college feel that focuses on undergraduate education in the finest of New England college traditions. U.S. News & World Report has ranked Eastern among the top 20 public institutions in the North region (which spans 11 states and Washington D.C.) Students from other states can now come to Eastern at just slightly more than in-state Connecticut students.  At approximately $10,000 less than our previous out-of-state tuition rate, the new discounted tuition for non-Connecticut students compares favorably with in-state rates in other states. A quality education at a great value.

"I knew Eastern was the perfect place for me the moment I stepped on campus. Eastern had everything I was looking for in a college and more. I wanted to be a good distance from home and live on campus but be able to go home as often as needed. Being able to play for Eastern's women's volleyball team was another important deciding factor for me."

"I chose Eastern for its highly accomplished academics, athletics and sense of community. I wanted a university that checked all my needs and Eastern seemed to be the perfect fit. My favorite part about Eastern are the relationships I've built. Being from Miami, leaving home and going somewhere completely new was strange, but I was greeted by the most welcoming and accepting people I've ever met."

Biology major Evelyn Lemus was recently accepted to Harvard Medical School after working two years at the Stanford University School of Medicine. "I am who I am academically, emotionally and socially because of my experiences at Eastern. As a research physician, I plan to apply my knowledge to prevent and treat diseases and injuries, and I want to be engaged with communities that resemble my own."
