The research mission of the Center for Early Childhood Education is to conduct original, methodological studies of young children that are highly innovative in the questions they ask, the methods they use, and their underlying theoretical frameworks. Our research produces findings that have clear and significant implications for professional practice and the support of young children and their families.

Study findings are shared through publications in scholarly journals, but also shared through teacher- and policymaker-friendly research briefs and teacher tips. Research findings are also shared in conference presentations and in videos produced by the CECE.
