"Geotourism" in New Zealand, Karakorum, Pamir, Tien Shan, Nepalese Himalaya, South China, Malaysia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chilean and Argentinian Andes, Swiss Alps, Cantabria, Massif Central, Greece, Cyprus, Norway, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Iceland, Slovenia, Lanzarote, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, Central and East African rift valleys and volcanic regions, Cascade Range, Idaho, Montana, Yellowstone, Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut. Foreign language abilities: Portuguese (good), Spanish (good), French (fair), Mongolian (fair). Lived in Ouro Preto, Brazil and collaborated with Brazilian geologists for 10 months in 1993-94. Completed six-month foreign language and cultural exchange program in Blois, France, 1979. Extensive hiking and wilderness experience in Himalayas, Karakorum, European Alps, New Zealand, Chile, Mongolia, Scotland, Wales, Pyrenees, Quebec, Ontario, Arizona, Vermont-New Hampshire-Maine.
