Celebration of Faculty Excellence

Faculty Excellence Recipients 2026

This celebration provides an opportunity to recognize publicly the accomplishments of our extraordinarily talented and dedicated faculty. Faculty research, scholarship, and creative work is often invisible, and by bringing that work forward, we celebrate our faculty and hope to spark ideas and connections as you learn more about one another’s work. From analyses of feminist writers to ethnomusicology to direction of theatre productions to new techniques for studying scorpion venom, the work of Eastern’s faculty is wide-ranging and innovative. The teacher-scholar model exemplified by our faculty is at the heart of our institution and aligns closely with Eastern’s liberal arts mission. Indeed, much of the work we are celebrating today has been made stronger by the scholarly community at Eastern: it is interdisciplinary, inspired by shared interests, and created in collaboration with other faculty and/or students. Faculty, we are grateful for all that you do, and we are so fortunate to have you here at Eastern.
