Education and Professional Studies

The School of Education and Professional Studies builds on a strong foundation in liberal arts and offers a variety of academic programs for students to acquire the skills and knowledge they need for successful professional careers.

Our academic programs encourage students to develop a theoretical base that informs practical experiences in the field — such as internships, cooperative placements and research opportunities — largely offered during the junior and senior year.

Eastern graduates are recruited by educational, business, industrial, medical, mass media and nonprofit organizations because of the organizational and interpersonal relations skills they develop through their academic programs, as well as hands-on learning experiences outside of the classroom. Eastern graduates are well prepared to continue their professional and personal growth and develop in a complex and rapidly changing society.
