Our Education Program's Candidate Learning Outcomes and Concept Origins

Eastern Connecticut State University has a long tradition in teacher preparation that has focused on continuous evidence-based teacher education to improve student achievement. Eastern Connecticut State University's Education program is founded on a conceptual framework that is research-based and regularly evaluated and revised to reflect changes in philosophical underpinnings, national trends, state regulations, curriculum development, and the needs of public schools in Connecticut and the nation.

The Education program has developed Candidate Learning Outcomes (CLO) which are aligned with the Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Preparation (CAEP) and may be accessed here: Eastern's Education program Candidate Learning Outcomes.
