Social Informatics Minor

Its focus is on the interdisciplinary study of the design, uses and consequences of information technologies that takes into account their interaction with institutional and cultural contextual environments. Deepens understanding of using information technology in one of three areas: sociology, social work, social sciences, environmental management or sustainable energy. Gain ability to collect and analyze data needed to enhance business productivity.

Students who wish to minor in Social Informatics must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours including 3 required courses, 1 elective, and 1 additional elective.
