NSF Research Experiences

The National Science Foundation approves and funds Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) across the country and internationally. REU's provide opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in intensive research experiences over the summer. Programs are available for Biology, Education and Human Resources, Engineering, Geosciences, International, Mathematics, Physical Sciences. Social, Behavioral Sciences and Economics.

Students are funded with stipends and some programs provide housing allowances. Application deadlines vary. However, many programs open submissions late in the Fall semester. Students can search for programs by discipline by going to the REU Search page.
