Fulbright Research/Study Grant

The U.S. Fulbright Student Program provides students with an opportunity to engage in research or creative activity overseas after completion of their baccalaureate degrees. The one-year program provides students with a monthly stipend, travel expenses, accident insurance, and other possible benefits. The Fulbright Study Grant can be used to conduct independent work or to complete a planned course of study in a foreign university. The grant is available in more than 150 countries worldwide. Details are available at the Fulbright Website.

Students apply for Fulbright in the fall of their senior year or after they graduate for fellowships beginning the following fall/winter. Applications are due to the Eastern fellowships office in September, and students are encouraged to begin working on their applications in late spring/early summer. Eastern can provide interested students with significant support in navigating the application process.

For more information about Fulbright and other post-baccalaureate research fellowship opportunities, contact Eastern's fellowship office at fellowships@easternct.edu.
