Theresa Bouley Interviewed on New Publications

Cover of Implicit BiasDr. Theresa Bouley was recently interviewed by reporter Brian Scott Smith on Connecticut East This Week. She spoke about her two recent publications: "Implicit Bias: An Educator’s Guide to the Language of Microaggressions" and "The Economic and Opportunity Gap: How Poverty Impacts the Lives of Students." Dr. Bouley co-authored both books with Anni K. Reinking.

In her interview. Dr. Bouley discussed the need for educators to be aware of how their actions may unintentionally cause shame in children from different  cultural or socioeconomic backgrounds and the need to be aware of implicit bias.

The interview first aired on December 1, 2021. The interview was aired by six different radio stations in Connecticut. Listen to the entire interview.

Dr. Bouley will be giving a book talk on February 1, 2022, at Eastern Connecticut State University. More details will be forthcoming.
