Graduation Information

If you are getting ready to graduate, here are some things you need to know:

Graduation Applications

  • Graduation Applications are located in the Registrar's Office or by using the following link
  • Review your degree evaluation & consult with your advisor before filling out the graduation application. Your degree evaluation can be found online using Eastern’s self-service (e-Web).
  • If you need to make changes to your application DO NOT submit a new form. You will need to submit the change via Change of Information on Degree App form which can be found on the Graduation Application page. 
  • If you are planning to earn an additional degree, major, minor or teacher certification following the awarding of the first degree. Please submit an Application for Continued Undergraduate Enrollment form found on the following web page and an application for degree.

Application Due Date

Completed undergraduate applications are due prior to the semester of graduation

Commencement Ceremony

  • Visit the Commencement web site
  • The graduation is held once a year after final exams in May
  • Students who have graduated in December are encouraged to participate in commencement the May after they graduate
  • Students who apply for August graduation will be permitted to participate in the preceding May commencement ceremony provided their initial audit shows they are approved
  • Your degree evaluation will show what commencement ceremony you are approved to participate in

Diplomas

  • A diploma will be issued after the Registrar has determined that a student meets all requirements for graduation. Students with outstanding financial obligations at the time of graduation will not receive their diploma until their accounts are settled
  • Diplomas may be picked up at the Registrar's Office. If the student would like the diploma mailed, they must submit a request in writing to the Registrar's Office. The student must sign the written request, and the form can be found on the Diplomas web page
