Continued Undergraduate Enrollment

Students holding a baccalaureate degree wishing to complete an additional degree, major, minor or teacher certification are required to begin doing so only during the semester (fall/spring) following the awarding of the first degree. Students must submit an Application for Continued Undergraduate Enrollment form to the Registrar's Office in order to pursue this option and must enroll in courses specifically designed to fulfill their planned program. Students with Continuing Enrollment status will be charged tuition at the undergraduate rate.

Students who are approved for Continuing Enrollment status will have as many semesters as needed to complete their major/minor/degree/or certification. However, any merit/academic funds received through the admission process will not continue once a degree has been conferred. Students with a degree are only eligible for Federal Stafford Loan funds assuming they still have eligibility left or TEACH funds. There are no federal, state, or university grant funds available to these students.

If a student wishes to pursue an additional undergraduate degree after the first semester following degree conferral they may reapply to Eastern as an undergraduate student and be charged tuition at the undergraduate rate. Students may not complete an additional major or minor after the first semester following degree conferral. A student seeking teacher certification after the first semester following degree conferral will be charged tuition at the graduate rate and will have to matriculate through the Graduate Division.
