Diplomas

At the Commencement Ceremony, the University celebrates conferral of degrees on those students who have received their Initial Degree Audit, which approves them to participate in the ceremony. A diploma will be issued, after a Final Audit is completed by the Registrar's Office, and it is determined a student has completed all degree requirements (*students with holds or outstanding financial obligations will not receive their diplomas until they have been resolved*).

Diplomas will be available to pick-up or be mailed on the following dates:

  • May Graduates: Available on July 15
  • August Graduates: Available on November 15
  • December Graduates: Available on March 15

NOTE: If the date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the diplomas will be available the following Monday.

For May 2026 Graduates, if you are officially awarded, you should have received an email to your Eastern Email with the subject "Degree Awarded". This email contains a link to a form where you can submit a request to have your diploma mailed.

*IF YOU ARE A RECENT GRADUATE, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT REQUESTS USING THE PROCESS BELOW, PLEASE USE THE LINK YOU RECEIVED AS MENTIONED ABOVE*

If you are requesting a diploma be mailed and you were awarded for December 2025 or prior, you can either:

Submit a request to diploma@easternct.edu from your Eastern email with the mailing information.
OR
If you are unable to send the request from your Eastern email account, please submit the Authorization to Mail Diploma form to diploma@easternct.edu. You may also mail or fax (860-465-4382) form to the Registrar's Office (Form requires Handwritten Signature).

Mailing Disclaimer:

  • Once diplomas are mailed, the Registrar's Office no longer has any control over the parcel. Once in the mail, any damage sustained in transit is out of our control. We will do our best to rectify damage sustained if you can provide evidence of the damage. Note that the vast majority of mailed diplomas arrive without incident.
    • If the diploma is damaged in the mail, from your Eastern Email, please send photo evidence of the damage to diploma@easternct.edu and we can provide a replacement without additional charge.
    • However, if the replacement is mailed to the same address and sustains damage again, any subsequent replacements may result in a $25 replacement fee.
    • If there is concern of additional damage, it is recommended you provide different arrangements to obtain your diploma (e.g. provide an alternative address, pick-up the replacement in person, or provide approval for another person to obtain your diploma on your behalf)
  • Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery, from the mailing date, before contacting us. While most diplomas are delivered within a standard mailing timeframe, some can take longer depending on location and time of mailing. Tracking information is not available.
  • It is possible that undeliverable parcels will be returned Eastern, but this could be months after the mailing date. If this is the case, we will reach out via email letting you know it has been returned and discuss potential alternatives.
  • If incorrect mailing information was provided in your request, and the diploma is lost or not returned to our office as a result, a $25 replacement fee may apply. Please be sure you verify that all the necessary mailing information is provided and correct.
