Eastern Connecticut State University is committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment free from sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and other forms of sex-based misconduct.
The University takes all reports seriously and is committed to responding prompting, fairly, and impartially while providing supportive measures and resources to affected individuals. Eastern encourages anyone who experiences or becomes aware of an incident to seek assistance and explore available support and reporting options.
Dating Violence
Dating violence is violence committed by a person who is in, or has been, in a romantic or intimate relationship with another person. The existence of such a relationship is determined by considering factors such as the length and nature of the relationship and the frequency of interaction between the individuals involved.
Domestic Violence
Domestic violence includes felony or misdemeanor crimes of violence committed by a current or former spouse or intimate partner, a person sharing a child with the affected individual, a person cohabitating with or who has cohabitated with the affected individual, or another person protected under applicable domestic or family violence laws.
Stalking
Stalking is engaging in a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to fear for their safety, the safety of others, or to experience substantial emotional distress.

| Anonymous and Third-Party Reports | Reports may also be submitted using the University's Title IX Reporting Form. | Anonymous reports are accepted; however, the University's ability to respond may be limited when insufficient information is available. |
Supportive measures are individualized, non-disciplinary, non-punitive services designed to help maintain equal access to the University's educational programs and activities.

Eastern Connecticut State University prohibits retaliation against any individual for reporting concerns, participating in an investigation, requesting supportive measures, or exercising rights under University policy or applicable law.
Individuals who believe they have experienced retaliation should report those concerns immediately to the Office of Equity and Diversity/Title IX.
