An additional 38 students were involved in the CECE's Community Partners for Early Literacy project, a $3.9 million effort to improve the early literacy skills of preschoolers in Willimantic, CT, funded by the U.S. Department of Education. These students worked as early literacy assessors, classroom substitutes, and literacy kit managers, and were a critical element in the project's success.
