Programs of Study

  • Eastern’s Economics program is a good choice for students seeking flexible skills applicable to various careers, including applied economics, market analysis, banking, policy analysis, or social sciences. The program emphasizes decision-making abilities and data analysis relevant to policy, business, and finance, also providing a robust foundation for postgraduate studies in economics, law, political science, or public administration. Our program offers a unique advantage — we are small enough that our students receive individual attention from the faculty. This personalized approach ensures a supportive learning environment, fostering stronger connections between students and faculty. Aspiring graduate-level economists are encouraged to complement their major with a minor in mathematical sciences, enhancing their application portfolio and increasing their chances of admission to top-ranking programs.

  • Eastern’s Finance program is designed to equip students for entry into the financial services sector, corporate roles, or graduate school. Our faculty places a priority on developing analytical, communication, and quantitative skills, ensuring students are well-prepared for successful careers. To align education with specific goals, we encourage the selection of a minor – those interested in financial analysis can choose data analytics or economics, while those fascinated by global financial markets may opt for international business. What distinguishes our finance major is the distinct advantage of small class sizes, providing individual attention and fostering strong connections between students and faculty. This personalized approach empowers students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic and high-demand finance field.
