Andre Warren '11 and Tanika Warren '13

Tanika and Andre’s story began when Tanika was a sophomore and Andre was a senior at Eastern. Andre lived in Laurel Hall, and Tanika would often visit her sister, who worked as a Resident Assistant (RA) there. During one of these visits, they crossed paths and started chatting. Their connection grew during Eastern’s open rec night, a single event where students could relax and enjoy various activities. It was during this night that Tanika and Andre really hit it off, and from that point, they became inseparable.

Though Andre graduated that same year, and Tanika still had a couple of years left to complete her degree, their relationship remained strong. They continued to stay close, supporting each other through the rest of their college years. Two years later, when Tanika graduated, they had already built a solid foundation together.

Now, fast forward to today, and Tanika and Andre have been married for four years. They are proud parents of two children and continue to grow together, building a life full of love and shared memories. Their journey, which started with a simple encounter during a single open rec night, has turned into a lasting partnership that they cherish every day.
