We Couldn't Do It Without You…

Dear Alumni and Friends,

The Development and Alumni Engagement Office extends its heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and commitment to Eastern Connecticut State University. Your philanthropy helps create opportunities for students, strengthens academic programs, and advances the University's mission to provide an exceptional liberal arts education.

The generosity and commitment of our alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and community partners provide vital resources that expand access, enrich learning, and empower student success. Together, we are preparing students to thrive through a liberal arts education enhanced by hands-on, real-world experiences that inspire curiosity, leadership, and lifelong achievement.

Today, Eastern students are conducting research alongside faculty, gaining practical experience through internships and community partnerships, and developing the skills needed to lead in a rapidly changing world. These experiences help transform potential into achievement and prepare graduates to make meaningful lifelong contributions in their professions and communities.

Thank you for believing in Eastern and investing in its future. Your partnership continues to shape lives, strengthen our campus, and create opportunities that will benefit generations of students to come.

Donor Testimonials

Walner Homere holding up a t shirt

As an immigrant in the United States, my mother worked as a housekeeper while I prepared to enter the university’s alternative admissions program known as STEP/CAP (Summer Transition at Eastern Program/Contract Admissions Program). I had dreams—ambitious dreams—but I lacked the financial means to turn them into reality. The scholarships I received were truly life-altering. Your generosity forever changed my life and, more importantly, created ripple effects that I hope have changed the lives of others. I am deeply grateful for your support, and to whomever you are, I owe you an eternal debt of gratitude. Walner Homere ‘95

Charlotte Braziel ’80 recently informed Eastern that she had made the University a beneficiary of an IRA in her estate plan. “I came from a lower middle-class family and my three siblings, and I were state school students,” said Charlotte. “Public universities are vital to the future of this country. I value education and I know at my demise this IRA distribution will have a ripple effect, helping students like me who come from modest backgrounds.” Charlotte Braziel ’80
