Megan Willis '09 and Kelvin Bush '06

We met through mutual friends in 2004 but never really got along or “liked” each other. Once Kelvin graduated he would still come back to Eastern to visit friends at their apartment. During spring break week of 2008 we saw each other at a mutual friends dorm (Noble). We were all supposed to hang out there for awhile then go to UCONN. We all ended up staying there the entire night because we had so much fun. We had our first kiss that night and we starting dating almost immediately after. We would love going to the movies together and just hanging out. We loved an hour away from each other so Kelvin was always driving to come see me after work and on the weekends. From there, I moved into his house in 2012. He proposed to me at Yankee Stadium in 2013. We got married at Anthony’s Ocean View in 2015. We had our son, Julian, in 2017 and our daughter, Thalia, in 2019. We now live in East Hartford in a new home. In 2014 I was the Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach for 2 seasons. Now we go to Willimantic area frequently so we show our kids where we met and tell them stories about Eastern.
