Hanna Lasbury ’24

I am a Production Assistant at ESPN. I help produce content for the ACCN (Atlantic Coast Conference Network). This involves creating highlights for college sports, working with producers on creative projects and communicating with Talent to feature cool stories within the conference.

I chose to go to Eastern because I wanted to continue swimming and was recruited by Head Coach Sarit Gluz. Not only that, I liked the idea of being close to home and being able to further my studies and find a career path which I have grown to love.

Two important faculty mentors for me were/are Nick Aconfora and Dr. Andrew Utterback who both inspired me to look for a career in Broadcasting. Whether in was in news or sports I always felt encouraged by them to explore different clubs at Eastern that helped me decide what I wanted to do.

I apply the skills I learned at Eastern in my everyday life. At Eastern, I learned the importance of communication, working with others and taking leadership-- these qualities have giving me the tools to succeed in my role at ESPN. Where in a highly competitive and growing industry it's important to have these qualities. I’m grateful to have learned so much at Eastern.
