5.1.c Modeling Best Professional Practices in Scholarship

Summarize unit's expectations for and evaluations of its professional education faculty regarding
modeling best professional practices in scholarship.

Eastern EPP are productive scholars, as evidenced in the extent and range of their creative activities.
They remain active in their field through collaborative research with school personnel, our own
candidates and professional colleagues. Faculty are supported in their grant work by the grants office,
fiscal affairs, and the university library.

Some of the topics of study researched by our faculty include teacher-child effective relationships in
math-play interactions, applied ordinal logical regression and diversity in child development. During the
2015-2016 academic year alone, the Eastern EPP produced an impressive array of publications,
presentations and grant projects, while maintaining a 12 credits load each academic semester. Eastern
EPP collectively produced 21 publications, 48 national presentations, 33 regional presentations, received
2 regional grants and have applied for 2 national grants. Please details of faculty scholarship,
