Student Grievance Procedure

The mission of the Office of AccessAbility Services (OAS) at Eastern Connecticut State University (Eastern) is to ensure that all students with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities in an academic environment free from harassment and discrimination. It is our intent to serve all students equally, with respect, and in a timely manner, in accordance and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Amendments to the ADA (2008), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

The Student Grievance Procedure exists to provide fair and equitable means in order for students and staff to resolve disagreements regarding the provision of accommodations and services. The Student Grievance Procedure is intended for students who have registered with the Office of AccessAbility Services, or for students who have requested to be registered and were denied.

All complaints should be directed to the Office of Equity and Diversity. To learn more you can visit the Statement of Policy and Grievance Procedure on Discrimination and Sexual Harassment.
