Course Description

Visual Stories in Augmented Reality

This course invites students to the exciting world of augmented reality and storytelling. In "Exploring Visual Storytelling in Augmented Reality," Students will discover how it's changing the way stories are told and experienced and explore the exciting intersection of storytelling technology and visual arts. Students will acquire hands-on experience with AR development tools and platforms and learn to design and build their AR experiences, from concept to execution.

Open to students entering Grades 10, 11, or 12 this fall.

Meet the Professor

Professor Soojin Kim Soojin Kim is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, engineer and educator whose research focuses on intercultural relations and interactive storytelling. She earned M.S in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts from Tufts University in studio art. She served PrattMWP as an adjunct instructor. Her work is currently represented by Gallery BOM, Boston. She won the Traveling Scholars Award(2.7K grant) from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She also was selected as the Bupyeong Young Artist and the SHIFTS artist of Park Young Korea Foundation, and most recently as a residency artist from MASS Moca and PrattMWP.
