The Orientation program helps new students become familiar with Eastern while learning strategies for ensuring their academic and social success. During orientation, students will:

  • Meet other incoming students and are introduced to current student leaders
  • Get to know the faculty and staff
  • Acclimate to campus
  • Become familiar with on-campus services and resources
  • Prepare for academic advisement, registration and other aspects of course selection
  • Learn about Eastern’s culture of respect, and the importance of civility, inclusion and minimizing risky behaviors

Additionally, the Orientation program will:

  • Create a welcoming environment that builds a sense of community
  • Encourage students to take responsibility for their own growth and development by getting involved on campus
