Class Level Error (Jr/Sr 100 Level Courses)

Most 100-level courses are not open to students who will be registered for 60 or more credits in the term they intend to take the course (Junior and Senior Standing).

When students register for courses using eWeb, the system will check to see what their class standing will be during the semester they intend to take the course. If the student will be a Junior or Senior during that semester, they will not be able to sign up for the course and will get an error message.

On occasion, extenuating circumstances require enrollment in these courses, such as a pre-requisite to a required course; change or addition to a program of study; upper division alternatives conflict with another course requirement.

Students may request a class restriction override using their Eastern email and sending the following information to their faculty advisor and ask for a class restriction override:

  • Name, ID Number
  • CRN, Subject, Course, Section, Title
  • Extenuating Circumstance/Reason this course needs to be taken during that term.

Please forward your approval to registrar@easternct.edu

Thank you.
