The timeline for the scheduling process differs from semester to semester due to several factors within the academic calendar. However, the following graph shows approximate dates that are used when developing the timeline for the fall and spring scheduling process.
Please Note: The preparation for each schedule begins in the middle of the previous like semester, roughly ten months in advance. The schedules below are just rough estimates. The final timelines will be available under the "Faculty/Staff" section of the office website at http://www.easternct.edu/registrar.

Second Week of October: | Scheduling request is sent to Department Schedulers |
Second Week of October - Second Week of November: | Departments provide updates and revisions to the Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer using the scheduling policy and the guidelines e-mailed. This is an ongoing process. The earlier updates are sent, the earlier the Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer can get the schedule back to the departments. |
Second Week of November: | Preliminary Schedule due to the Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer |
First Week of December: | Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer distributes class schedule for fine-tuning by Department Schedulers |
First - Second Week of December: | Department Schedulers adjust schedule as needed |
Second Week of December: | Schedule due to the Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer (This version of the schedule will be used for classroom assignments.) Please submit the most complete schedule known. If an instructor is not yet known, please list the section with StaffFT or StaffPT. If specific space(s) are needed for instruction, be sure to include requests. |
Second Week of December - Second Week of January: | Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer creates classroom assignments |
Second Week of January: | Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer distributes schedule with room assignments for a final look by Department Schedulers |
Second Week of January - Third Week of February: | Department Schedulers make final adjustments/changes |
Third Week of February: | Final schedule due to Associate Registrar: Scheduling Officer |
