U-PASS CT @ Eastern

Fall pass valid August 1 - December 31
Spring pass valid January 1 - July 31

Eastern students can pick up their U-Pass at the Bursar’s Office window (Wood Support Services Center, 2nd floor) by presenting a valid student ID. Lost or stolen passes should also be reported there.

You must present your valid U-Pass CT and Student ID when you board the following transit services:

  • Greater Bridgeport Transit (GBT)
  • Norwalk Transit
  • Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HARTransit)
  • Milford Transit
  • South-East Area Transit (SEAT)
  • Windham Region Transit District (WRTD)
  • Magic Carpet
  • Northwestern CT Transit District (NWCTD)
  • 9 Town Transit/Estuary Transit District
  • Middletown Area Transit (MAT)
  • CTtransit & CTtransit Express
  • Hartford
  • New Haven
  • Waterbury
  • Stamford
  • New Britain
  • Bristol
  • Meriden
  • Wallingford
    CTfastrak
  • New Haven Rail Line (Intrastate travel only. Not valid for travel to NYC)
  • CT Rail Hartford Line
  • Shore Line East Rail

Conditions of Use
  1. U-Pass CT is valid for use by Undergraduate students enrolled at Eastern campus.
  2. Graduates can request one and will be charged the $40.00 per semester fee.
  3. Passes can be picked up at the Bursar's office window at the start of the semester and will also be available at tabletop event offering with Financial Aid in the Student Center (Dates to be announced). 
  4. U-Pass CT is valid for unlimited rides within Connecticut on local & express buses, CTfastrak, Shore Line East, intrastate New Haven Line and CT Rail Hartford Line services.
  5. This pass is not refundable or transferable.
  6. A valid Eastern student ID must be shown at time of pass use.
  7. Do not fold, bend, or place near magnet. Lost, stolen, or destroyed passes should be reported to the Bursar’s Office window (Wood Support Services Center, 2nd floor).
  8. U-Pass CT is valid for the period of time printed on the face of the pass.  The Fall semester U-Pass will be valid from August 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. The Spring semester U-Pass will be valid from January 1, 2026, through July 31, 2026.
