Family Support

“Although I had originally planned to complete my degree in 4 years, my family continued to encourage me to reach my full potential. They motivated me as I decided to push myself and graduate in 3 years. My family supported me through my struggles of figuring out financial aid, advising, and housing on my own, as this was all a novel experience for us. I wouldn't have my degree today without my family.”

Campus Support

“The Financial Aid Office was helpful in regards to scholarships. Various staff members within the Housing and Residential Life Office were always warm and helpful. Whether it was to ask questions regarding Eastern or just providing emotional support, I was lucky enough to always have someone there to talk to.”

Julia KaczynskiFaculty Mentors

“My advisor, Dr. Krebs, was particularly helpful throughout my undergraduate experience. From the very beginning he was very thorough with his recommendations and what he thought would work best for me. Many of the professors within the psychology department, whether I had them for one class or four classes, were always welcoming and allowed me to ask them various questions. After graduating, I stayed in touch with some professors and they are gracious enough to continue to offer me advice and guidance.”

Career Development

“Within classes required within my degree, many of them emphasized key points. Over my undergraduate experience, I was given a lot of preparation in resumes, interviews, CVs, career choices and paths, and even guest speakers within different roles. My professors made me aware of all the different options I had in regards to paths to take. Having these conversations with these professors, it always felt like they wanted what was best for me; some even made me change my future direction, and I am forever grateful.”
