About Me

I am an anthropologist with teaching and research interests in Cultural, Economic, and Urban Anthropology; Caribbean transnational migration; globalization; sustainable development; and environmental discourses and policies. I have conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Cuba. Currently, I am Professor of Anthropology and Chair of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Criminology, and Social Work.
