Eastern Passport - FAQs

  • The Eastern Passport is a discount and rewards booklet for Eastern students, offering special deals at participating businesses in Willimantic. Students can collect stamps for every visit and earn raffle entries for end-of-semester prizes.

  • All current Eastern students can get a Passport! First-year students can pick theirs up starting August 23, and upper-class students can pick up starting August 29 at the Student Center Info Desk.

  • Just bring your Passport and your Student ID to a participating business. You’ll receive a discount and a stamp each time you make a purchase.

  • Many of our partner businesses are offering Eastern students recurring discounts, meaning you can save money every time you visit. Check your Passport booklet and our website for details about each business’s offer. Since discounts are subject to change, the website will always have the most up-to-date information.

  • Those pages are for return visits! If you go back to the same business multiple times, you can keep collecting stamps in the extra pages provided.

  • Yes! If you post a photo on Instagram while at the business and tag both the business and @easternctstateuniv, you’ll receive a bonus stamp.

  • Each stamp you collect earns you an entry into our end-of-semester raffle. The more you explore and support local businesses, the more chances you’ll have to win.

  • We’re still finalizing the prize list—but we promise it’ll be good! You might even get to help choose the grand prize through a vote on our Instagram Stories.

  • Not at all. Try as many as you can! Every visit and every stamp helps you build your entries. The goal is to explore Willimantic, support local spots, and have fun along the way.

  • Check the main pages of your Passport booklet for the full list of participating businesses. We’ll also post updates throughout the semester on @easternctstateuniv and the "Participating Businesses" website.

  • We’re happy to replace it! However, please note that any stamps (and raffle entries) collected in your lost booklet cannot be transferred. Be sure to keep your Passport safe so you don’t lose your progress.
