Eastern Spreads the Word Statewide

On Sunday, Feb. 9, Eastern Connecticut State University was featured in a full-page advertisement on page 3 of the Hartford Courant. The ad noted that Eastern is the top ranked regional public university in New England in this year’s U.S. News and World Report rankings.

Other points mentioned in the ad included Eastern’s commitment to the employability of our graduates through applied learning, the value of the liberal arts, and the face that Eastern has the top four-year graduation rate among Connecticut’s state universities. The ad also featured photographs of a number of academic settings and campus scenes.

Page three is the best placement you can have in the newspaper, which adds to the numerical impact of the ad — the Courant has a circulation of 115,000 on Sundays and estimated readership of 335,000. In addition, digital ads also placed on Sunday yielded 790,000 impressions and almost 1,000 click throughs.

The University continues to use its marketing budget to spread the word about Eastern’s liberal arts mission and the enhanced reputation of our academic programs. Watch for more information about our marketing and public relations efforts in the next issue of Newsflash.
