J. Eugene Smith Library Gift Policy Statement

As of October 2021, the Library no longer accepts gifts for the general, reference and media collections. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. This change in policy is due largely to lack of space for collections and lack of staff to process them.

Gifts for the Curriculum Center should be directed to Hope-Marie Cook. Gifts for Special Collections/Archives (including ECSU Author books) should be directed to Tara Hurt.

There is a truck for “free” books at the second floor entrance to the Library – anyone is welcome to leave books in acceptable condition there for others to enjoy.
