Amazon Announcement

Hi Everyone – we are excited to announce the launch of a new purchasing program between ECSU and Amazon Business Prime through the CSCU system wide account. This provides a similar shopping experience to our current account, but you now have access to Business Prime shipping paid for by the CSCU system and centralized sales tax exemption. This new program Offers ECSU a significant cost savings by consolidating our prime memberships and also simplifies your purchasing process allowing you to take advantage of Amazon’s wide product selection and competitive prices. Going forward, all ECSU Amazon purchases should be made through this new, central Amazon Business Prime account.

Additional benefits include:

  • Free 2-Day shipping on Prime-eligible item.
  • Automatic tax-exempt purchasing on items sold by Amazon.com LLC and participating 3rd party sellers.
  • Access to millions of additional products, available only to Business customers
  • Business-specific pricing, including quantity discounts on eligible items

PLEASE NOTE: 

This does not change your payment process if you have been using a p-card you will still utilize your p-card to pay for your purchases on Amazon, if you have had purchasing paying for the orders you will still have this option.

Going forward, all ECSU Amazon purchases should be made through this new central Amazon Business account. No individual paid prime accounts should be purchased.

All purchases made on this account must be shipped to ECSU Campus locations Willimantic, CT. No home address.

New Accounts and Non-Pcard holders - Reach out to purchasing and let us know you would like to make an Amazon purchase.

  1. Accept the invitation and follow the welcome email instructions to complete the registration process
  2. Begin shopping adding items to your list, send your list to purchasing using the instructions for transferring the list.
  3. Please email your completed signed, Requisition with Banner index and account information to purchasing@easternct.edu.

Next Steps:

Existing Accounts

Anyone who had previously registered an Amazon Business account with your Eastern email address, the process to join the ECSU Amazon Business Prime account requires the following actions:

  1. Login to your Business Account.
  2. Download an order history report for the past 6-12 months via Business Analytics from your drop-down menu.
  3. Navigate to Business Settings > People, this group and subgroups, and remove any users (if applicable).
  4. Click the following link to deregister your existing account: https://amazon.com/gp/b2b/manage/deregister.
  5. Once complete please email purchasing@easternct.edu requesting your invitation to the system wide account.
  6. When the invitation comes in choose the “Yes, join the account.” Option and sign in once to authorize the migration.
